Dynamic Power Capping is supported on all BL/DL/ML G7 or later servers with the exception of the ML110 G7, and DL120 G7. All G7 or later servers ship with the minimum required firmware to enable Dynamic Power Capping Support.

Enclosure Requirements for Dynamic Power Capping:
  • Onboard Administrator Firmware V2.30 or later
  • Redundant Onboard Administrator
  • N+N Redundant Power Configuration if using Onboard Administrator Firmware version less than v. 3.0
  • HP System Insight Manager v.5.2.2 or greater
  • HP Insight Control Power Managment v.2.0 or greater
