Introduction

Remove your 3.5" SATA Hard Drive with the HP Removable Hard Drive Enclosure. This accessory is ideal for video surveillance, classroom training, PC sharing, content archiving, disaster recovery, and protecting highly sensitive data.

The HP Removable Hard Drive Enclosure is the latest in rugged removable hard drive technology supporting up to 3 Gb/s SATA transfer rates along with Gold DIN connectors that are rated for 30,000 insertions and removals. Robust all-metal construction provides superior cooling while protecting the hard drive during transportation and storage. A powered key lock prevents theft or accidental removal during operation and a temperature sensing fan ensures sufficient airflow across the hard drive based on workload.

The HP Removable SATA Hard Drive Enclosure consists of two components; a receiving frame and a removable drive carrier. Simply install the receiving frame into an available 5.25" optical storage bay and then relocate your primary system hard drive or secondary hard drive to the removable drive carrier. Then insert the drive carrier into the receiving frame and you have a fully configured removable hard drive Business Desktop PC.

Service and Support

Your Option Limited Warranty is a one (1) year (HP Option Limited Warranty Period) parts replacement warranty on any HP-branded or Compaq-branded options (HP Options). If your HP Option is installed in an HP Hardware Product, HP may provide warranty service either for the HP Option Limited Warranty Period or the remaining Limited Warranty Period of the HP Hardware Product in which the HP Option is being installed, whichever period is the longer but not to exceed three (3) years from the date you purchased the HP Option.
