Introduction

The StorCase DX115 Removable Enclosure is a compact, cost-effective, yet rugged drive carrier and receiving frame for internally mounting a SATA or SAS hard drive into a 5.25 inch optical drive bay in an HP xw Series Workstation.

The DX115 supports Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or Serial ATA (SATA) 3Gbps drives and is downward-compatible with earlier-technology drives that are supported in HP xw Series Workstations.

  • StorCase DX115 SATA 3.0Gb/s Removable Drive Enclosure (EA332AA)
    Model EA332AA is a receiving frame and carrier for an SATA 3Gb/s disk. The receiving frame installs in one of the 5.25" optical bays in the workstation. The carrier holds the HDD and has a quick release handle for insertion/removal. You can install any HP supported SATA disk in the carrier.
  • StorCase DX115 SAS Removable Drive Enclosure (EA333AA)
    Model EA333AA is a receiving frame and carrier for an SAS disk. The receiving frame installs in one of the 5.25" optical bays in the workstation. The carrier holds the HDD and has a quick release handle for insertion/removal. You can install any HP supported SAS disk in the carrier.
  • StorCase DX115 SATA/SAS HDD Carrier Tray (RA697AA)
    Model RA697AA is the carrier only. This model works with any HP supported SATA or SAS disk. The tray can be installed in either an SATA or SAS receiving frame. Either an SATA or an SAS disk can be plugged into frames that are connected to an SAS controller. Only SATA disks are supported when connected to an SATA controller.

Compatibility
DX115 SATA Drive Enclosure is compatible with xw4300, xw4400, xw6200, xw6400, xw8200, xw8400, xw9300 and xw9400 workstations.
DX115 SAS Drive Enclosure is compatible with xw4400, xw6400, xw8400 and xw9400 workstations.
The StorCase DX115 Removable Enclosure is supported in the following bay locations only.

The StorCase DX115 Removable Enclosure has a one-year limited warranty or the remainder of the warranty of the HP product in which it is installed. Technical support is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day by phone, as well as online support forums. Parts and labor are available on-site within the next business day. Telephone support is available for parts diagnosis and installation. Certain restrictions and exclusions apply.
