GPS Receiver

Integrated high sensitivity GPS receiver with HP iPAQ Quick GPS Connection Utility. Quick GPS Connection is a software application residing on the device that enables a faster connection time for enhanced GPS performance.

GPS Navigation software is included with HP iPAQ hw6500 models sold in Europe. It comes with the ability to download one city map from a pre-defined list of cities in the United States, Western Europe and Canada. A full set of maps are available for purchase at www.tomtom.com/gpsnavigation.
For customers in other parts of the world, GPS navigation application and maps are available for purchase at www.hp.com/go/gpsnavigation.

NOTE: While the GPS radio on your device is able to connect to the GPS satellites without enabling the Quick GPS Connection, it may take a few minutes longer and even up to five minutes to locate the satellites without using the Quick GPS Connection. The user is required to enable Quick GPS Connection updates.
