Systems

Step 1 – Select system

AlphaServer DS20L systems require the mandatory selection of the following items:

To enable initial operating system boot, at least one AlphaServer DS20L per purchase order must include a slim CD-ROM drive (3X-PBXRZ-AA) or a management station. The remainder of the systems in the configuration can be remotely booted via the CD-ROM drive or the management station.
A minimum of one AlphaServer DS20L Users Guide (EK-DS20L-UG) must be ordered per purchase order.
AlphaServer DS20L is a rackmount-only system. If a rack is unavailable onsite, one must be selected from Step 6.
For integration of more than 32 systems in a cabinet, contact CustomSystems (1-800-AT-COMPAQ).
Rackmount systems require PDU, PDU mounting kit, and power cords.

NOTES: Rackmount system minimum for factory integration is four.
AlphaServer DS20L minimum OS support - Tru64 UNIX V5.1A, New Hardware Delivery-5 (NHD-5) for Tru64 UNIX Version 5.1A, and the most recent Tru64 UNIX V5.1A Patch Kit.

M-series cabinet enclosures support up to 32 AlphaServer DS20L systems (H9A15) and/or up to three StorageWorks shelves. For orders where more than 32 systems in a cabinet are required, contact CustomSystems (1-800-AT-COMPAQ). M-series enclosures require selection of the following items:
