The PowerStorm 350 PCI Graphics Controller provides features for
users who require maximum resolution, increased texture capability
and/or stereographic viewing.
Overview
The PowerStorm 350 PCI graphics controller combines the high performance,
3D graphics features of the PowerStorm 300 and introduces features
for users who require higher resolution, increased texture capability
and/or stereographic viewing support. The PowerStorm 350 is based
on the REALimage 2100 from Evans & Sutherland and its features
make it an ideal choice for CAD, CAM, DCC, visual data analysis, remote
sensing and image processing applications. The PowerStorm 350 provides
optimized support for OpenGL, under Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS.
Performance
The PowerStorm 350 PCI graphics controller incorporates 30MB of
frame buffer memory and 32 MB of texture memory. The bilinear fill
rate of 90M pixels/second, trilinear fill rate of 45 M pixels/second
and the ability to render up to 4M filled, 25 pixel triangles / second
are key performance features of this high performance 3D graphics
solution.

The PowerStorm 350 PCI is a high-quality graphics controller for
professionals requiring solid 2D and 3D features and performance.

Multi-display support is available on most Alpha Systems. A single
PowerStorm 350 PCI controller may be combined with up to seven PowerStorm
300 PCI controllers. Please refer to the Alpha System QuickSpecs
for details on supported multi-display configurations.
The 30 MB of frame buffer memory provides the ability to support
true 24-bit color at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @75 Hz refresh
and the capability to support 24-inch monitors.
The 32MB of texture memory that is standard on the PowerStorm 350
PCI controller means higher texture quality and greater performance
for demanding applications.
Full OpenGL quad buffered stereo is supported for the highest 3D
visual quality when using head mounted displays and shutter glasses.
Compaq conducts engineering verification of stereographics capabilities
using CrystalEyes® products from StereoGraphics® Corporation.

Service and support
The PowerStorm 350 PCI Graphics Controller carries the longer
of either a one-year warranty or the remainder of the warranty period
for the unit in which it is installed.
