Maximum combination 2 graphics adapters per system.
Maximum 4 graphics adapters per system in any combination of AGP/PCI. You cannot mix SN-PBXGF-AB/BC (VX1) and 3X-PBXGG-AA/AB (RV200).
For multi-head support, refer to the ATI Radeon 7500 ReadMe first document and Release Notes included with this adapter for specific configuration and OS instructions.
When Radeon 7500 AGP and/or PCI graphics cards are installed in a system, no other model video adapters may be installed in the same system.
3D operation functions with a single 3X-PBXGG-AA card, only. If multiple cards are installed, the driver will force adapters to 2D operation.
3D operation requires Open3D Product Authorization Key (PAK) for OpenGL server operation. This PAK should be registered using the License Management Facility (LMF) before installing the Radeon 7500 adapter.
- For UNIX:
- Driver 1.0.0.0 required.
- Support limited to 2D and a single adapter with cloned video on the DVI port without RAD540.tar layered product kit.
- ATI Radeon 7500 graphics support layered product kit RAD540.tar (on Radeon 7500 software CD) required for 3D functionality, dual screen, and multiple card support. Before installing the kit from the CD, check support web site: http://www.support.compaq.com/open3d for latest version.
- TruCluster friendly device. Can be present in a cluster member, but cannot be shared or accessed by any other cluster member. Restricted to non-shared SCSI busses. When Radeon 7500 layered product kit is installed on a cluster, the Radeon 7500 can be the only type of 3D graphics card installed.
