November 2007: EH853A, EH854A and EH926A HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1840 Tape Drive now supported on AlphaServer DS10, DS15, DS15A,
DS20E, DS25, ES40, ES45, ES47, ES80, GS80, GS160, GS320 and GS1280 with Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS.

The supported options list includes all options that have been successfully
tested and qualified on the AlphaServer system. The list contains the option
part number, description, restrictions (RST) and operating system support.
The entries in the RST column have the following meanings:

YES
= restrictions exist and are available through the part number hot-link.

NO = restrictions do not exist.
The entries in the operating system columns have the following meanings:

YES
= Supported by the operating system; no minimum operating system version
required.

N/S
= Not currently supported by the operating system.

N/A
= Not applicable.

CD
= Configuration Dependent

Max
= Indicates maximum number supported on each operating system. Differences by
operating system are noted.

Version number
= Supported by the operating system; minimum operating system version required
for that support.

The supported options list is not intended to include complete ordering
information, configuration information, currently shipping revisions or
recommended choices. Refer to the HP Systems and
Options Catalog or QuickSpecs ordering menus for detailed ordering
information.

Please note that not all software patches are present in this directory as some
may be affected by business or export agreements that do not allow their
distribution at-large. Other patches listed in the Option Restrictions may have
been superseded by more current versions.

The AlphaServer 2100A system has an on-board PCI-to-PCI bridge (DECchip 21050).
Physical slots 4, 5, 6, and 7 are the bottom 4 slots in front of the bridge (primary PCI). Physical slots 0, 1, 2, and 3 are the top 4 slots behind the bridge (secondary PCI).
Primary graphics head must be installed in PCI Bus 0.
- For UNIX:
- Minimum Operating System version for UNIX is v3.2D.
- Tru64 UNIX supports maximum 8 SCSI devices per Bus.
- For VMS:
- Minimum OpenVMS is v7.1 required to support maximum 16 SCSI devices per Bus.
- OpenVMS versions prior to v7.1 support maximum 8 SCSI devices per Bus.
- Minimum Operating System version for OpenVMS is v6.2-1H1.
- For WNT:
- Minimum Operating System version for WindowsNT is v3.51.
- Minimum WindowsNT v3.51+SP5 (Service Pack 5) supports maximum 16 SCSI devices per Bus.
- WindowsNT versions prior to v3.51+SP5 support maximum 8 SCSI devices per Bus.
