Supply chain environments benefit from real-time
performance
Compaq Tru64 UNIX AlphaServer ES45 systems established a
new performance level for a four-processor system running
the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) two-tier
Demand Planning Version 3.0A Standard Application benchmark.
The benchmark demonstrates the power of AlphaServer systems
with Tru64 UNIX running SAP liveCache, which demands large
memory.
"This benchmark further demonstrates the ability of
Compaq, in concert with SAP, to meet the most demanding business
requirements and robust infrastructure needs of supply chain
management solutions," said Rich Marcello, vice president
